Sunlight Air finds new home in Clark

The sun shines brighter in Clark with Sunlight Air as the airline flexes its wings and moves to its new home in Pampanga.
The boutique airline last 1 April officially launched its inaugural flight from Clark International Airport (CRK) after announcing its move at the start of 2024. Flight 2R601 from Clark to Busuanga departed from CRK at 2:10 p.m.
Earlier this year, Sunlight Air officially announced its move from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to CRK in an effort to provide more efficient and on-time services for its passengers.

"In line with our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and top-tier flights to underserved local destinations, we are happy to have launched our first flight from Clark with the support of the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD) and are confident that this move will allow us to better deliver our trademark quality of service to many more Filipinos," shared Sunlight Air chief executive officer Ryna Brito-Garcia.
This milestone marks the start of an exciting chapter for the airline, as it brings about a number of fresh new routes, including flights to Siargao, San Vicente, Coron and Caticlan. Noel Manankil, chief executive officer and president of LIPAD, also expressed excitement about this development. "We are thrilled to welcome Sunlight Air to Clark International Airport, further solidifying CRK's position as a key aviation hub in the region. As we embark on this partnership, we are dedicated to providing Sunlight Air passengers with an unparalleled travel experience marked by efficiency, convenience, and a focus on customer satisfaction."
The inaugural flight passengers were welcomed aboard the aircraft with festive leis, the sight of water cannons and a performance by local guest performers as an added treat. Also in attendance at the launch were Regional Director of the Department of Tourism for Region 3, Dr. Richard Daenos, Clark Development Corporation president and chief executive officer Atty. Agnes Devanadera, and Bases Conversion Development Authority president and chief executive officer Engr. Joshua Bingcang.
