Bureau of Corrections Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr. yesterday officiated the oath-taking of 44 newly hired non-uniformed personnel in a ceremony held at the New Conference Hall of the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

The newly hired NUP composed of 25 females and 18 males were told by Catapang that they would be molded in the new standard of being a BuCor Family. "Kung anu man ang mga pangit na nabalitaan nyo noon tungkol sa BuCor, kalimutan nyo na dahil tayo ngayon ang Bagong BuCor sa Bagong Pilipinas, kaya panindigan nyo yan," Catapang told the newly hired NUP.

The connivance of some BuCor officials and persons deprived of liberty involved in criminality is over, this year will be a banner year for all of us as other government agencies and lawmakers will support us in our new undertakings, Catapang said.

Catapang said in five years they will turn around the situation in the 51 years that the BuCor has been neglected that is why you have to be prepared as young blood since you already have the attitude, character, and education, all you need is to hold on to your values.

He also told the newly hired NUP " kung ano ang maiatang na trabaho sa inyo, pagbutihin nyo, huwag nyong insipin ang delihensya dahil kapag ang BuCor ay naging matagumpay, lahat makikinabang at may share ang lahat ng empleyado ng BuCor.
