The Manila International Airport Authority anticipates a surge in travelers arriving and departing at all NAIA Terminals after the long holiday break starting on Tuesday until Friday, 5 January.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport's (NAIA Terminal 1) departure area was nearly full of travelers on Tuesday morning as people started to arrive for their scheduled flights.
According to MIAA Public Affairs Department OIC Connie Bungag, an average number of inbound and outbound passengers per day on a regular day, would be between 120,000 and 130,000, respectively. Some of the travelers are coming back from their holiday breaks.
Bungag assured the traveling public that the MIAA management is ready and prepared for the influx of passengers returning to their work abroad as well as incoming passengers who spend their holiday breaks outside the country.
