Follow-up operation conducted by personnel from the Western Bicutan Police Substation 2 of Taguig City led to the apprehension of robbery snatching suspect the other night.
The operation happened at around 9:30 p.m. Friday, 29 December along FTI PNR Station, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
He was identified as alias Romy, 31 years old, who took the sling bag of the victim containing coin purse with money worth P285, android cellphone worth P8,000 (unrecovered).
Report said that while the victim, alias Rose, 23 years old was waiting for a passenger jeepney, one unidentified male person came close to her then quickly grabbed the bag of the victim and ran towards Arca South.
Immediately the guard on duty of the PNR helped the victim to report the incident to the Substation 2.
A follow–up operation was conducted by the police together with the victim that led to the suspect's immediate arrest after he was positively identified by the victim.
Complaint for robbery snatching will be filed against alias Romy who is presently detained at Custodial Facility of Taguig City police.
