The Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA seized more than P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs from four abandoned parcels at the Central Mail Exchange in NAIA Complex, Pasay City on Friday, 29 December.
The first parcel intercepted by the BOC-NAIA was shipped by the Abdul Jakul Sextoy Company from Canada. It was declared a sex toy tumbler but was discovered to contain 116 grams of high-grade marijuana, also known as kush. The parcel was consigned to a resident of San Mateo, Rizal.
The second parcel, declared a cushion repair kit sent by EOS Upholstery from South El Monte, California, was consigned to a certain Tine Tungpalan of Ilocos Norte. The parceled contains 225 grams of marijuana and 8 vape cartridges of liquid marijuana.
The third parcel was declared a Nintendo Game/Playstation Game sent by Cocoy Ortaleza of San Francisco and consigned to one Andy Ortaleza of Angeles City, Pampanga. It contained 114 grams of suspected shabu.
The fourth and last parcel was declared as merchandise shipped by Carson Lawrence from Fallon, Missouri, USA and consigned to a certain Mark Truzan, a resident of Leveriza in Pasay City. It was found to contain 26 vape cartridges of liquid marijuana and 44 grams of high-grade marijuana.
All seized illegal drugs with a total value of P1,594,220 million have been turned over by the BOC-NAIA to the NAIA PDEA-IADITG for further investigation and proper disposition.
