Man shot dead

CAMP PRES QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur — A 67-year-old man was shot dead last Thursday morning in what appeared to be an ambush in broad daylight in San Sebastian, San Vicente town here.
Report received by Col. Darnell Dulnoan, police director, identified the victim as Ciriaco Relaon of San Sebastian.
Investigations showed that the victim was traveling aboard his motorcycle around 9:30 a.m. when two men aboard also a motorcycle suddenly tailed the victim and shot him several times. The suspects were wearing helmets and are possibly gun-for-hire.
The victim succumbed to four gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body and was declared dead on arrival when he was rushed to the hospital.
"We are still investigating the shooting incident to identify the perpetrators," said Lt. Col Danny Ligayo, chief investigator of the PNP Provincial command here.
