CEB recognized for exemplary support in gov’t relief efforts

Cebu Pacific (CEB) received an award from the Department of Social Work and Development (DSWD) for its noteworthy role in providing logistical help during calamities and disasters.

The DSWD recognized CEB, along with other public and private organisations, as well as committed volunteers, on Volunteers and Partners' Recognition Day for providing relief and humanitarian aid to underserved communities.

"We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our valued partners and volunteers who extended their support to the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau in delivering immediate responses to families affected by various calamities We are grateful to have you as our volunteers and partners and commend all of you for your outstanding contributions to alleviating the suffering of vulnerable and disadvantaged people during crisis situations," said Diana Rose Cajipe, undersecretary of the DSWD-Disaster Response Management Group.

In 2023, CEB airlifted more than 258 metric tons of humanitarian cargo, showcasing the airline's unwavering dedication to supporting communities in times of crisis.

"We are honored to contribute to the government's noble efforts to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Cebu Pacific's purpose goes beyond flying—it's about connecting and supporting communities, especially during challenging times," said Cebu Pacific chief corporate affairs officer Michael Ivan Shau.

With an eye towards 2024, CEB remains resolute in its dedication to upholding social responsibility and promoting humanitarian causes. Additionally, the airline hopes to support cooperative projects that bring about significant and long-lasting change for each and every Juan.
