A lost and found section at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 received a bag containing P183,000 and other valuable items, which was turned over by Security Screening Officer (SSO) Mike John De Chavez of the Office for Transportation Security (OTS). Along with these personal goods, the bag included a passbook, jewelry, chargers, and a smartphone.

During standard security screening, SSO De Chavez found a backpack on the X-ray machine that had been left behind by a passenger. He did not hesitate to inform Enrico Mauricio, his supervisor at the checkpoint, about the occurrence.

The passenger was helped and was able to locate her misplaced suitcase when she went back to the security screening checkpoint to search for it. The owner, relieved, conveyed her appreciation for the integrity and timely support provided by SSO Chavez, his manager, and their whole staff.

The timely and responsible turn-over to the lost and found section ensured its return to the rightful owner.
