City of Malolos, Bulacan — The North Luzon Expressway Corporation has advised motorists of the heavy volume of traffic this coming holiday season.
According to NLEX Corp. president and general manager J. Luigi Bautista, high traffic volume is being anticipated in the Balintawak, Mindanao and Tarlac toll plazas on 22 December until late in the evening of 23 December and noontime until late in the evening of 29 December.
"Also, heavy traffic in Bocaue is expected on the early afternoon until midnight of 25 and 26 December, morning of 26 December, afternoon to midnight of 29 December and 1 January noontime until late in the morning of the following day; while Tarlac on 25 to 26 December and 1 January," Bautista said.
The official added that construction and lane closures along the mainline road of the NLEX-SCTEX are suspended unless emergency safety repairs are necessary from 15 December 2023 up to 12 noon of 2 January 2024.
