Cagayan de Oro City — Gingoog City and the eastern portion of Misamis Oriental is now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as with strong winds prevail in the area, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and  Astronomical Services Administration on Sunday.

The state weather bureau said that the impact of the wind is minimal to minor and advised the residents in the region to be vigilant, monitor the weather condition and take appropriate proactive measures.

Other areas affected by the weather disturbance are the provincial of Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Island, part of Eastern Samar, southern part of Leyte, Bohol Cebu, Negros Oriental, Camiguin, northern part of Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur and  Agusan del Norte.
