The City Health Office of Las Piñas successfully wrapped up a three-day comprehensive flu vaccination campaign covering vulnerable groups such as senior citizens, persons with disabilities, healthcare workers, adults with comorbidities and other frontline workers.
The public health drive was held 11-14 December at Robinson's Las Piñas. Over 500 flu shots were administered on the first day, showcasing the community's active participation and the drive's effective outreach. Over the next two days, almost 1,700 vaccinations were given.
The choice of Robinson's Las Piñas as the venue played a crucial role in facilitating easy access for the diverse groups targeted by this campaign.
Dr. Juliana Gonzales, the Officer-in-Charge of the City Health Office, hailed the drive as a major step toward bolstering the community's defenses against seasonal flu, especially among the most susceptible groups. She also emphasized the importance of vaccinations in preventive healthcare.
