The Commission on Elections announced on Thursday that the lone bidder, Miru Systems Co. Ltd., has been declared ineligible as a service provider for the 2025 automated elections.
The Korean company submitted its documents to the Comelec for the 2025 automated elections system early in the day.
The Comelec's Special Bids and Awards Committee, or SBAC, found that Miru failed to comply with the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act.
Among the grounds for disqualification was the inadequate translation into English of documents supporting the Statement of Single Largest Completed Contract as required under Section 23.2 of the Revised IRR of RA 9184.
