The government will give a service recognition incentive, or SRI, to government employees and gratuity pay to contract of service and job order workers, Malacañang said on Tuesday.
Based on Administrative Order 12, signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the SRI would be a one-time grant not exceeding P20,000 per employee in the executive branch.
Among those entitled to receive the incentive are civilian personnel in national government agencies, including state universities and colleges, and government-owned and -controlled corporations, whether regular, contractual or casual employees.
Also included are members of the military and police forces and fire and jail personnel under the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
The SRI grant will also extend to personnel of the Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Coast Guard and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority, employees of Congress, the Judiciary, the Office of the Ombudsman, and other constitutional offices.
Moreover, employees in local government units, including barangays, may also receive the SRI, depending on the financial capability of their local governments and subject to the limitations of their budget.
Also granted a one-time gratuity of up to P5,000 are contract of service and job order government employees who have completed at least four months of satisfactory service as specified in their contracts by 15 December and whose contracts are still active on that date.
Under AO 13, CoS and JO employees of national government agencies, state universities and colleges, government-owned and -controlled corporations, and local water districts are eligible to receive the P5,000 gratuity.
The full roster of eligible personnel is accessible on the Official Gazette.
The disbursement of the P20,000 SRI and the P5,000 gratuity pay to all qualified employees will start on 15 December.
