Lawmakers from the House of Representatives are pushing to execute a round-the-clock construction operation of the government's infrastructure projects to expedite its implementation.
The call — embodied under House Bill 9666 filed on 4 December by ACT-CIS Representatives Erwin Tulfo, Edvic Yap and Jocelyn Tulfo, with Benguet Representative Eric Yap and Quezon City Representative Ralph Tulfo — aims to meet the public's demand for timely and sustainable infrastructure development.
"Acknowledging the pressing need to meet the population's increasing demands, this proposed measure mandates the adoption of round-the-clock operations in priority infrastructure projects," said the proposed measure.
HB 9666, or the "Accelerated Infrastructure Development Act of 2023," is seeking to streamline the implementation of government infrastructure projects through round-the-clock operations to promote efficiency and effective execution.
