The Supreme Court yesterday said that from 2020 to 2023, the Court carried out vital reforms consistent with the objectives of the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022-2027 to upgrade legal education and to modernize the admission to the practice of law.
The Court shifted the framework in the conduct of Bar examinations from the traditional pen-and-paper method to the digital platform.
It said the achievements and wealth of experience from previous years, the 2024 Bar Examinations #BarNiJLo2024 shall remain digitalized and regionalized with condensed schedule and multiple examiners.
The 2024 Bar Examinations #MostValuableLaban will bridge the gap between the study and practice of law and will usher qualified examinees in their transition from law students to "practice-ready" and "potentially capable" lawyers.
Questions in the coming Bar exams will be geared toward practical skills and jurisprudential perspectives to evince analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong sense of ethics, professionalism, empathy for clients, and commitment to public service as minimum benchmarks for admission to the practice of law.
The 2024 Bar Examinations shall be conducted in 8, 11 and 15 September in local testing centers across the country. The six core subjects will be retained.
