Subic Bay Freeport Zone — More than 100 kids from an Aeta village in this Freeport were given Christmas gifts as part of a Yuletide outreach program of a utility company here on Thursday.
The Subic EnerZone Corporation, a power distribution company, conducted its Christmas outreach initiative in Pastolan Village, Hermosa, Bataan and the company — through the support of the Aboitiz Foundation — distributed 103 packs of Christmas Noche Buena and 103 packs of Christmas gifts.
According to Subic EnerZone Corporation assistant vice president Jay Navarro, the beneficiaries are Grade 4 to Grade 6 students of the Aeta village, adding that the collaborative effort underscores the commitment of Subic EnerZone Corporation and its employees to making a positive impact on the communities they serve.
The company doled out P140,000, with 50 percent of the funds contributed by the Aboitiz Foundation and the remaining 50 percent collected from the company and its employees.
"We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back, especially during the festive season. This Christmas outreach is a reflection of our commitment to support and uplift the lives of those in need," Navarro said.
The event, scheduled for December, promises a day of festive celebration and joy, as Subic EnerZone Corporation comes together with the Aboitiz Foundation to spread the warmth of the holiday season.
