President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is doing well amid being positive for Covid-19, Malacañang said on Wednesday.
In response to a query from Palace reporters about Marcos's health, Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil said, "(The President) is doing well."
"He has a scheduled teleconference this (Wednesday) afternoon," Garafil added without adding further details about the meeting.
The President, whose physician had urged him to isolate, "remains fit to carry out his duties and will be continuing his scheduled meetings via teleconference," according to a previous statement from Malacañang.
Marcos Jr. tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time; he had previously contracted the virus in 2020 and 2022.
"I was among the first to get COVID; it was not a walk in the park," Marcos said during his first speech as President on 30 June 2022.
