The Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport reported on Wednesday that a female consignee was arrested for allegedly trying to slip in illegal drugs worth P67.3 million at a cargo warehouse in the airport.
Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group chief Col. Dionisio Bartolome Jr. identified the suspect as Gayzel Marie Reyes Sabile, a resident of Sta. Ana, Manila.
Initial reports disclosed that the suspect was arrested by the operatives of PDEG, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group at the PAIR-PAGS Center at the NAIA Complex on Tuesday night.
Seized from the suspect were some 9,898 grams of shabu with an estimated worth of P67,306,400, a Philippine passport, UMID card, Air waybill documents and cellular phone.
