President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged the public to take care of their health as he tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time, Malacañang said early morning Tuesday.
In a statement from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Marcos will be isolated for five days.
"The President remains fit to carry out his duties and will be continuing his scheduled meetings via teleconference," PCO said.
In March 2020, Marcos tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time. He got the sickness again in July 2022.
The PCO said that new information about the president's health would be shared as it became available.
To protect their health, President Marcos told the Filipino people to get vaccinated and wear face masks in crowded places.
Before this, President Marcos led the Office of the President's Family Day celebration over the weekend.
