Through the Gender and Development Focal Point System, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines organized a session aimed at enhancing the agency leaders' comprehension of gender policies and mandates, as well as refining the agency's procedures for managing situations pertaining to gender.
A gender and sensitivity training, a workshop for developing GAD policies and an orientation for the Committee on Decorum and Investigation made up the course, which took place at the Jet Hotel in Lipa, Batangas, from 29 November to 1 December 2023.
The primary goals of the event were to create the CAAP Mapagkalingang Paliparang Program, plan the GAD budget and develop the agency's CODI policy.
Also coinciding with the three programmed activities was a visit to the Basilio Fernando Air Base in Lipa, where the Philippine Air Force's Air Education, Training, and Doctrine Command held a GAD briefing for CAAP GADFPS.
The GADFPS is composed of CAAP's top management, including the agency's area center managers.
