A Filipino-American passenger who lost his wallet containing thousands of dollars at Ninoy Aquino International, Airport Terminal 2 was reunited with his belongings, thanks to the honesty of a security guard and the prompt action of the Manila International Airport Authority.
Julius Kenneth Vedasto, a hospital director in California, arrived at NAIA from California on board a Philippine Airlines flight on Wednesday. He was rushing to catch a connecting flight to Kalibo to attend his mother's wake when he unknowingly dropped his wallet.
Jhon Eric Macandili, a security guard at the NAIA Terminal 2 departure area, discovered the wallet on top of a push cart around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. He immediately brought it to the paging area to call the owner's attention, but the flight had already departed.
Macandili turned the wallet over to the Lost and Found Section of NAIA Terminal 2 for documentation and inventory.
