Pasay coastal development continues

The coastal development project in Pasay City will resume after the Pasay Eco-City Coastal Development was exempted by President Marcos from the suspension imposed on reclamation projects in the country.

This was announced by Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano saying the project was compliant with its Environmental Compliance Certificate and the terms and conditions of its Area Clearance following a thorough scrutiny.

The project was also deemed compliant with Philippine Reclamation Authority parameters pursuant to Executive Order 74 Series of 2023 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations; PRA Administrative Order 2019-4, including its transitory provision under Section 14, and the Memoranda of Agreement between PRA and Pasay City.

Rubiano said the lifting of suspension is a most welcome development as it will pave way for the resumption of development activities with the end-goal of helping further boost the economy and providing the needed revenue to the government.
