QC to hold business leaders assembly for ‘Future of Work’

The Quezon City government will hold the first-ever "Future of Work Conference." This two-day event will tackle how work, workers, and the workplace are predicted to evolve in the coming years.
This two-day assembly for business leaders titled "Innovate. Adapt. Thrive: The QC Future of Work Conference" will start on Monday (13-14 November 2013) at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.
The conference seeks to address the rising trends of inclusivity, resilience, safety, and sustainability in doing business in Asia and beyond, and how business leaders should respond to the changing dynamics of the workplace and the methodology of work itself.
Margie Santos, the head of QC Business Permits and Licensing Department said that the Future of Work Conference "comes at a crucial time for business owners and entrepreneurs who are navigating the digital and automated landscapes."
The conference, she said is aimed to promote best practices for sustained growth and good corporate governance while boosting economic activity.
For Day 1, the speakers will be: Mayor Joy Belmonte, Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, Santos, DILG Undersecretary for Operations Atty. Lord Villanueva, David Almirol, Jr., Usec. for E-Gov, DICT and Antoniette Mendoza-Talosig, Principal Consultant, Great Place to Work ASEAN.
On November 14, speakers will include C40 Executive Director Mark Watts, Sen. Risa Hontiveros, Allen Lee Chin Min, Founder, PEOPLElogy Group, Belmonte and Santos.
Attendees of the conference can expect insightful discussions on leveraging emerging business technologies to create new opportunities and strategies to facilitate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) workplace policies on par with global trends. The conference will also provide a platform for business leaders to share their outlook on the changes expected to come to work and the workplace in the next few years.
With QC having the highest number of registered establishments in the entire Philippines, the local administration is optimistic that the Future of Work Conference will convince a significant portion of businesses to equip themselves with future-forward policies and cascade this mindset to other enterprises.
QC was recently recognized as the 2023 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is the most populous city in the country and the busiest, with a multitude of businesses calling it their home.
The conference will not only tackle the future of work but will also provide a platform for business leaders to network and build relationships with other industry players.
