"Although there were some incidents of violence that happened especially in the Bangsamoro. In the whole of Abra, no untoward incidents," said the Comelec chief.
"In the red category areas of 365, no disturbances occurred. Except Nunungan, Maguindanao, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur. They are not red areas so we are surprised. Overall, they did not stop the people from voting," he added.
Meantime, the Department of Education also reported that it did not log untoward incident was reported during the conduct of this year's BSKE.
"So far, no untoward incidents reported except for the situation sa Lapat Balantay, Tineg, Abra. We are coordinating with Comelec on this matter," DepEd Undersecretary Michael Poa said.
"Aside from that, the reports that reached us in DepEd are only minor just like the teachers who sustained minor injuries due to certain accidents this morning," he added.
The DepEd official also said that no teacher was hurt after supporters of a candidate stormed two polling precincts in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan and allegedly destroyed the ballots.
According to the initial report from DepEd-Mimaropa, no failure of elections was declared by the Comelec after the incident.
