Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. marked its presence at the recently held 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit held at the SMX Convention Center.

The event, organized by the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines, served as a platform for HMPH to showcase its IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 models. These vehicles have garnered international acclaim, winning the World Car of the Year titles in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

During the plenary session on the opening day, Dongwook Lee, president of HMPH, stated: "It's good to be back, gracing this stage again. Sharing best practices and talking about a unified goal — which is green mobility."

"For us at Hyundai Motor, more than the vehicle, it's the lifestyle. So, our IONIQ line was really designed to allow its owners to not just drive electric, but live electric."

The brand aims to make the transition to electric vehicles smoother for Filipino motorists by promoting what they term as the "Ioniq Life."

Hyundai is pulling out all the stops to ensure that its customers have a hassle-free experience. Both the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 come with a free home installation of a 7.4-kW AC charger.

Additionally, the vehicles are backed by a 5-year or 200,000-km vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 160,000-km battery warranty, and free Preventive Maintenance Service for five years or 75,000 km, whichever milestone is reached first.

Hyundai has introduced a Vehicle-to-Vehicle service within Metro Manila. A dedicated Ioniq 5 unit will roam the city, capable of charging another EV, a feature that extends the brand's existing Vehicle-to-Load function.
