Subic Bay Freeport — Around 200 tour operators conducted a tour of this premier Freeport on Saturday as part of the Travel and Tour Operators Day celebration.
Zoomanity Group president and CEO Robert Yupangco welcomed the tour operators as they converged at the Zoobic Safari theme park.
"We are thrilled to gather the best companies and people in the travel industry here at Zoobic Safari to commemorate Travel and Tour Operators Day," Yupangco said.
"The travel and tour operators play a pivotal role in shaping the tourism landscape of the Philippines and it's essential to acknowledge their contributions and support their endeavors," he added.
The occasion served as a platform for Zoomanity Group to express gratitude for their dedication and hard work for promoting and facilitating travel experiences for visitors across Zoomanity Parks.
Zoomanity Group is the operator of the Zoobic Safari theme park.
The group were given a tour of the area where the tour operators interacted with wildlife. The group was also given some educational information regarding these animals.
Zoobic Safari COO May Gamir expressed his gratitude to the tour operators for spending their day at the theme park, citing that the tour would provide them a first-hand experience on what their clients will enjoy when they visit Zoobic Safari.
The tour operators were also treated to a Night Safari wherein they interacted with animals who are nocturnally active.
Yupangco, on the other hand, stressed the need to show first the tour operators of the area and experience before they could market it to tourists/ customers, providing them more options in terms of tourist attractions.
