DAVAO CITY — Davao City First District Rep. Paolo "Pulong" Duterte told ACT-Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro to stop the drama and publicity after the latter filed a criminal complaint against former President Rodrigo Duterte.
"As a congressman myself, madami din akong alam sa maka-kaliwang mga partylist representatives. Tigilan na lang natin ang kadramahan at pagpapa-media," he said in a statement Wednesday.
Castro filed a criminal complaint before the Quezon City Prosecutors Office on 24 October in connection with the alleged grave threats from the former president.
She said she filed a criminal complaint to make Duterte liable for the "serious threat" against her during his program Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa on the Sonshine Media Network International aired on 11 October.
Rep. Duterte said that it is Castro's right to file a complaint against anyone in court.
However, he added that public servants should not be onion-skinned and should not make use of this right as a tool to silence critics.
