Sumagaysay said a total of 3,537 personnel will be deployed every day from 31 October to 3 November in all 38 cemeteries in the city as well as other places of convergence.

DAVAO CITY — The Public Safety and Security Office here announced that a total of 14,148 uniformed personnel will be deployed over the course of four days to provide security coverage for the observance of 'Undas' in the city.
PSSO head Angel Sumagaysay said that the security and safety sector is set to implement its security plan "Oplan Kalag-Kalag"starting 31 October.
"All systems go for the implementation of Oplan Kalag-Kalag 2023. In fact, there was a series of meetings conducted by the PSSO in cooperation the City Economic Enterprise and other local government agencies," said Sumagaysay.
Personnel to be deployed will be from the Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Civil Security Unit, City Transport and Traffic Management Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Economic Enterprise and other relevant local government agencies.
Sumagaysay said a total of 3,537 personnel will be deployed every day from 31 October to 3 November in all 38 cemeteries in the city as well as other places of convergence.
"For this Undas, PSSO with the CEE came to an agreement with all public and private cemetery operators in the city to prohibit overnight stay of visitors. Cemeteries are scheduled to open at 6 a.m. and will close at 10 p.m. with cut off to all entries at 9 p.m.," Sumagaysay said.
He said a "one entrance, one exit" policy will also be implemented.
Bringing of pets is not allowed within cemeteries as drones, sharp and pointed objects, alcoholic drinks, backpacks are also prohibited.
However, Sumagaysay said private cemeteries may add more prohibitions as they see fit.
"We remind the general public to secure their possession and lock up their homes before leaving to visit the cemetery or going on a holiday," Sumagaysay said.
