Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F Leonen highlighted the collective effort and commitment of the members of the Supreme Court in ensuring that the projects under the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022-2027 come into fruition.
"It is possible for a court to work together," said Leonen as he pointed out how the SC Associate Justices worked towards the fulfillment of the SPJI's target outcomes, in addition to their adjudicatory functions, with each Justice spearheading a particular project under the SPJI.
Leonen mentioned the projects that have been completed a year since the SPJI's formal launch: a Philippine Judiciary Online Learning Platform; a Judiciary Enterprise ICT Governance Framework; Strengthened Legal Aid Initiatives; Adoption of Guidelines for the Use of Gender-Fair Language in the Judiciary and GenderFair Courtroom Etiquette; and a Study on Gender Representation and Mobilityin the Philippine Judiciary.
