five-year-old boy has died while 10 others were reportedly injured after a man ran amuck on Wednesday afternoon at Barangay Amduntog, Asipulo, Ifugao.
Police said that the child was hacked by the suspect identified as Davis Dulnuan, Bullong, a resident of Barangay Antipolo, Asipulo.
According to the Asipulo Police, he was imprisoned on 2001 to 2013 for frustrated murder.
Asipulo Police Chief Police Capt. Francisco Buyuccan said that Bullong was neutralized by the police as he entered the Asipulo Elementary School.
The injured victims were identified as Aldrick Hagada, barangay captain of Amdumtog, Michael Tucal, Tomas Tayaban, Ezperanza Tadao, Jenariz Dinamling, Melanie Pihlo and Jocelyn Tagnaon.
Tagnaon is the mother of the boy who died while her two other sons were also injured by Bullong. Two kids aged three and six years old were also hacked by the suspect.
Buyuccan said that the incident was reported to them after Bullong already hacked people in two sitios before going to the barangay hall of Amduntog, hacking more people there. The police said that the suspect again hacked another two in his way to the school.
