The legacy of the Isuzu D-Max in the Philippines spans almost two decades, carving a niche for itself amidst Filipino families who prioritize durability, reliability, and fuel efficiency in their vehicles.
The journey from its inception in 2003 to the present day sees the D-Max advancing through its third generation, each iteration bringing forth substantial enhancements in design, performance, and safety.
Isuzu Philippines Corporation broadens the horizon further with the unveiling of the new D-Max Limited variant, a move emblematic of the brand's continuous push for excellence and its endeavor to satisfy the evolving demands of the Filipino market.
IPC Assistant Division Head for Sales, Robert Carlos, said that the D-Max Limited Edition is a product of surveys that shows how their target market still wants a great mix of form and function, in that Filipinos want a performance product that looks good.
When asked why they decided to keep the vehicle two-wheel drive and non-four-wheel drive like their competitors, Carlos had this to say: "As you can see in the Philippines, the volume is still on the 4×2 segment. It's the vehicle that they can drive from Monday to Friday at work. However, on the weekends, they can drive outside the city. They can use it for their adventure."
The D-Max Limited epitomizes a harmonious marriage of style and performance. Its design ethos facilitates a seamless transition from urban landscapes to rugged off-road terrains, embodying the spirit of adventure that propels its drivers.
This new variant invites customers to "Unleash Your Drive," an ode to the endless possibilities that lie on the road ahead.
IPC president Tetsuya Fujita encapsulated the essence of this launch, stating: "The new Isuzu D-Max Limited makes the already appealing D-Max pick-up even more attractive to those looking for added character on their vehicle."
"Designed with uniqueness and individuality in mind, this vehicle is fit for those with a deeper passion in life, especially the adventurous type."
The D-Max has always found favor among the well-informed and career-established individuals. Its adaptability across different terrains mirrors the dynamic lifestyles of its owners, promising a reliable companion in various life ventures.
A major highlight of the D-Max Limited is its aesthetic appeal. The newly designed Blackout Grille adorned with a red Isuzu logo, and a front bumper guard with red accents, bestows a distinctive and robust charm to the vehicle.
The gray streak body graphics with red limited logo, extending from its sides to the tailgate, further amplify its persona on the road.
The exterior aesthetics are harmoniously balanced with functional enhancements.
The Sidestep Board facilitates easy ingress and egress for the driver and passengers, while the new premium D-Max Limited Carpet, designed keeping in mind the active lifestyle of its owners, adds a touch of luxury whilst ensuring protection inside the cabin.
It's noteworthy that these accessories are curated by Isuzu Accessories and Service Parts, Thailand, ensuring superior quality and durability.
Under the hood, the D-Max Limited is powered by the reliable 3.0L 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power engine, boasting a maximum power of 187 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm, offering ample power for various adventures.
The 17" Satin Black Finish alloy wheels paired with 265/70 R17 Yokohama All-Terrain tires, alongside a monotube nitrogen-charged performance shock absorber with rigid rear shackles, enhance the ground clearance to 260mm.
This setup promises not only stability and control but a confident demeanor even on challenging terrains.
In a market brimming with accessorized pick-ups, the D-Max Limited, available only on the 3.0L 4×2 LS-A AT variant in Onyx Black, is competitively priced at P1,580,000. It's a strategic positioning by IPC, offering a blend of design and performance upgrades at a compelling price point.
To ramp up the engagement and bring the D-Max Limited closer to the people, IPC has organized a series of mall displays across major cities in the country. Starting on 19 October at SM Mall of Asia, the tour will span various venues, culminating on 6 December at SM Lanang Davao.
