Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija — The Agricultural Training Institute and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources recently conducted a ladderized training course on Extension Delivery System at the BFAR's training center here.
Dubbed as "Internalizing the World of Agricultural and Fisheries Extension," the four-day training course aims to enhance the capabilities of agricultural and fisheries extension workers and foster a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange.
The training brought together a diverse group of participants, primarily consisting of Provincial Fisheries Officers from various provinces in Region 3, attracting professionals and personnel involved in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
Its objective was to equip participants with the latest tools, techniques and strategies in agricultural and fisheries extension services. The EDS training aimed to enhance the participants' skills in effectively disseminating vital information, technology, and best practices to farmers and stakeholders in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.
Key topics covered during the training included innovative extension methodologies, sustainable agricultural practices, fisheries management, and the utilization of technology in extension services.
The curriculum was designed to provide a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the agricultural and fisheries sectors, enabling participants to contribute more effectively to rural development.
