BAGUIO CITY — Senator Manuel "Lito" Lapid, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Cordillera, on Monday distributed cash assistance to the students of different colleges and universities here.
The giving of financial assistance was conducted at the PFVR gym in the compound of the Department of Education Baguio.
"This will help the poor especially that prices are getting high," Lapid said.
The funding for the assistance is from the senator's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation.
Meantime, DSWD Cordillera regional director Leo Quintella said beneficiaries of the financial assistance received P5,000 while indigent citizens received P3,000 each as food assistance.
