Some customers in Metro Manila momentarily experienced power interruption on Sunday evening due to a "sudden plant outage."
Meralco said the incident triggered an automatic load dropping or ALD around 6:45 p.m. The power distributor immediately restored power in the affected areas.
It can be recalled that hundreds of thousands of Meralco consumers experienced temporary interruption twice in one week in July.
The first incident was due to the tripping of the San Lorenzo Natural Gas Power Plant, controlled by the Lopez family's First Gen, while the other one was prompted by the tripping of the Ilijan Power Plant operated by San Miguel Global Power.
