Money Tribune received a letter from Oriental Tin Can and Metal Sheet Inc. chairman Ramon Chua dated 24 August clarifying that cases related to the supposed dispute among stockholders in the company have been dismissed.
Chua wrote that the cases referred to in an Online Article dated 7 August 2023 regarding the supposed dispute among stockholders of record of the company "have already been dismissed for lack of probable cause."
Lack of merit
Specifically, in the criminal case involving the checks which was docketed as C-123443-46, the Regional Trial Court of Caloocan City-branch 128 was denied for lack of merit.
Concerning the falsification case referred to in the Online Article, the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City — Branch 76, relative to the case docketed as Case R-QZN-23-05195-CR, "issued a resolution dated 25 July dismissing the said case for lack of probable cause."
Chua said the rulings were issued before the publication of the online article.
