Two young siblings died during a fire incident after they were trapped inside their burning house Tuesday afternoon in Tondo, Manila.
Manila Bureau of Fire Protection identified the victims as Ara Gatus, 4, and Jasmine Gatus, 9, both residents of Dagupan Extension in Barangay 155, Tondo.
Based on the BFP report, the fire incident occurred 4 p.m. at the house of the victim.
According to Darwin Liwanag, grandfather of the victims, they don't know how the fire started and that they only saw thick smoke inside the house.
Later they discovered that the two siblings were trapped inside.
It was learned that the fire went on a first alarm before it was declared fire out at 5 p.m.
Arson investigators continued their probe to determine the cause of the blaze.
