
Authorities arrested two drug suspects and seized P136 million worth of "shabu" in a buy-bust operation Tuesday night in Parañaque City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said.
In a report Wednesday, PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said the confiscated illegal drugs weighed some 20 kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated value worth P136 million and buy-bust money was seized from the suspects.
Joint operatives from PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team, PDEA
RO-National Capital Region and Tambo Substation 2 and Parañaque City Police Station conducted the operation in Tambo, Parañaque, he said.
He identified the suspects as Mark Joseph Cortez, 36; Jacqueline Espinosa, 37, female, single; and a certain Marion King John Cortez, who remains at large.
The suspects will be charged with the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
