The country's weather bureau on Wednesday said the Tropical Depression "Ineng" has already left the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but the enhanced southwest monsoon or "habagat" will continue to affect parts of Luzon for the next three days.
In its latest weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said "Ineng" is not directly affecting the country, although the remnants of "Hanna" have been enhancing the "habagat", which will cause occasional rains over the western portions of Northern and Central Luzon.
PAGASA said the trough of "Ineng" will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Abra, Apayao, Cagayan, and Isabela.
Flooding or landslides are possible due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
Gusty conditions due to enhanced monsoon will also continue to prevail in Batanes, Ilocos provinces, the western portion of Pangasinan, Zambales and Bataan.
Occasional rains brought by "habagat" will prevail over Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan and will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the rest of Central Luzon and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region.
PAGASA said the rest of the country will continue to experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
The southwest monsoon will also cause rough to very rough seas over the northern and western seaboard of Northern Luzon and the western seaboard of Central Luzon, with a gale warning in effect.
Hence, PAGASA advised fishing boats and other small sea craft not to venture into the sea, and larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
"Ineng" is forecast to continue accelerating north-northeastward or northeastward towards the sea south of mainland Japan and will gradually intensify.
The weather disturbance was last tracked over the 1,240 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (outside PAR), packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h while North Northeastward at 20 km/h.
