Omega Neos gained a much-needed boost in firepower as it landed Kiel VJ "Kielvj" Cruzem ahead of the opening season of Mobile Legends Development League Philippines on 15 February.

Kielvj, a two-time Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines champion, made his name in the competitive scene as a jungler before making the transition to mid lane.

He brings a wealth of experience to the team that already has former MPL players Jeff "S4gitnu" Subang, Michael "MP the King" Endino, Cesar "Amethyst" Santos, and fresh faces Christian "West" Mangabay and Lilflesh "Zone" Miranda.

"This is it! The new force to reckon with this 2023 — Smart Omega Neos! We are composed of six players joining forces in one strength to win the championship. Join and support us for the first installment of MDL Philippines Season 1," Omega Neos announced.

Aside from Kielvj's transfer to MDL, Omega Neos has also tapped a former MPL support player and team captain as its head coach in Douglas Joseph "Imbadeejay" Astibe II.

The 27-year-old pro is most remembered for his stint with Cignal Ultra and TNC Pro Team.

"The new mix and poison, the silent killer Douglas Joseph "ImbaDeejay" Astibe II will be the head coach of mart Omega Neos," Omega Neos added.

But Kielvj and Imbadeejay are not the only familiar names that have made the transfer to MDL.

The biggest move yet thus far, is Carlito "Ribo" Ribo's return to competitive play after agreeing to be part of ZOL Esports.

Ribo, a Southeast Asian Games gold medalist touted as the greatest Mobile Legends player of all time, has won all the major tournaments in the Mobile Legends competitive scene, including the M2 Mobile Legends World Championship and a Southeast Asian Cup championship.

Ribo will be joined by Joshwell Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog, Andrei "FOLKMARR" Nablo, Lei Archie "lei good kid" Labigan, John Clarence "Milktea" Cabaron, Mario Chinoval "Raizel" Solana, Ryan Michi "RayL" Asaoka, Luke Andrei "Lucas" Reodica, and coach Paul Lennon "Yesh" Valenzuela.
