Filipino Mobile Legends coach John Michael "Zico" Dizon has found a new home overseas after signing with Pro Esports Cambodia.
The 22-year-old Zico was the brain behind Burn X Team Flash's qualification in the recent M4 Mobile Legends world championship following a dominant victory in the Mobile Legends Professional League Cambodia Autumn 2022.
Shortly after Burn X Team Flash's winless run at the M-Series tournament, Zico announced his departure from the MPL Cambodia champion team.
"Leaving my homeland was the biggest leap of faith that I have made seven months ago," Zico said in a Facebook post.
"Pursuing my passion for Esports in a foreign land was a challenging yet fulfilling experience, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions that I've made in my coaching career; I have one MPL Championship title under my belt."
It, however, did not take long for Zico to find a new team, as it literally took him less than 10 days before he got picked up by Pro Esports Cambodia, drawing light-hearted banters from some Filipino professional Mobile Legends players.
