Myla Pablo joining Cargo Movers?

Published on

F2 Logistics could storm back to its former glory with a huge recruitment coup ahead of the next season of the Premier Volleyball League.

Rumors have been circulating on social media that F2 Logistics is eyeing to strike a deal with two-time Most Valuable Player Myla Pablo, who could be a welcome addition for the squad that is still reeling from a disappointing outing in its debut in the league last year.

The open spiker is reportedly among a handful of players who have already expired contracts with Petro Gazz.

Although the Angels management did not confirm Pablo's departure, the club announced in a Facebook post on Monday that it has released some of its players and coaching staff.

"For those who will no longer be with the Petro Gazz Angels; we wish you all the best of luck. You have our prayers for more success in your future endeavors," the club statement read.

A source told Daily Tribune that F2 Logistics will be Pablo's landing spot.

"She's in good hands if she signs with F2. She wants further growth in her career and F2 can give her that. Of course, she's very grateful to Petro Gazz and she has learned a lot from those two years with the team," the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Pablo joined Petro Gazz after the disbandment of Motolite in 2021.

She helped the squad to a runner-up finish in the 2022 PVL Open Conference and was instrumental in the Angels' successful repeat in the season-ending Reinforced Conference last year.

The Cargo Movers, on the other hand, need a seasoned and reliable winger to complement its veteran core composed of Aby Marano, Kim Kianna Dy, setter Kim Fajardo, libero Dawn Macandili and middles Majoy Baron and Ivy Lacsina.

F2 Logistics finished sixth in the Open Conference, skipped the Invitational and landed fifth in the Reinforced Conference in its first stint in the country's first and only professional women's volleyball league.

"Pablo is a perfect fit for F2 as she will be providing the firepower the team needs and she will be playing alongside veterans," the source said.
