AirAsia Philippines is ending 2022 on a high note and airline officials are confident that it will exceed expectations in 2023 with an increased load factor and forward bookings.
This December the airline is recording an increase in forward bookings.
AirAsia PH is encouraging travelers to take advantage of its P112 "Low Fare Holidays" promo available until 8 January 2023.
The airline has recorded a load factor of 93 percent as of 19 December. Top-performing destinations preferred by airline passengers in terms of domestic travel include Zamboanga with a 98 percent load factor, Puerto Princesa, and Roxas with a 95 percent load factor.
Bangkok, on the other hand, topped the list of most booked international destinations with a 92 percent load factor, while Incheon comes second with a 90 percent load factor.
Forward bookings
Meanwhile, forward bookings for the month of January 2023 have already reached 285,000, or a 70 percent increase compared to seats sold during the same month in 2022.
AirAsia PH CEO Ricky Isla said the airline sees robust travel demand next year, especially as travelers now feel more comfortable locking in their trips ahead of time.
A more relaxed protocol for international destinations has set the pace for outbound travel, which airline officials expect to pick up in 2023 as AirAsia opens new destinations.
Visit favorite destinations
Isla added that the airline is urging more travelers to visit their favorite destinations and take advantage of AirAsia PH's "Low Fare Holidays" promo which has been extended until 8 January next year.
For as low as P112 one-way base fare, travelers can book their flight to any AirAsia domestic or international destination for travel until 30 June 2023.
The cost of airfare is also expected to slightly adjust in January, 2023 as the Level 7 fuel surcharge takes effect on 15 January 2023.
