Emperador Properties, the personal real estate investment firm of tycoon Andrew L. Tan is set to debut next week in Spain's BME Growth Stock Exchange, a move meant to support the company's growth plans.
"For any company to be listed in the Spanish Stock exchange is an important milestone and we are looking forward to seeing how Emperador Properties evolves in this new stage," said Emperador Properties chief executive officer Joan Cortés Vilardell in a statement on Tuesday.
The company, which is not related to Tan's liquor firm Emperador Inc., became a Real Estate Investment Trust in September 2021.
It will be officially listed in Spain's BME Growth Stock Exchange on Monday, 19 December.
BME Growth
BME Growth is the market segment for SMEs, including REITs of BME MTF Equity, a multilateral trading system managed by Bolas y Mercados Españoles (BME, the company that owns the Spanish Stock Exchange).
Emperador Properties said the listing gives the company a bigger platform to "achieve a more efficient financing mechanism to increase its capacity of capturing more real estate resources to finance its future growth."
Small and medium-sized companies from any sector, including REITs are allowed for listing in BME Growth, provided they have a solid projects expansion plan.
