The Philippine Navy hosted the 13th Navy-To-Navy Cooperation Meeting of the country with Indonesia and according to PN spokesperson commander Benjo Negranza, the NTNCM is a regular conversation between the two Navies wherein potential areas of partnership is being tackled between the two countries.
During the meeting held at the Diamond Hotel in Manila on 8 December, Negranza said both navies from the Philippines and Indonesia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation through high-level meetings, bilateral and multilateral naval exercises, naval operations, and education and training exchanges.
"The continued success of this Navy-to-Navy dialogue which began in 2010 underscores the long-standing bilateral defense ties between the two ASEAN nations," Negranza said.
He added that this year's face-to-face interaction was another milestone in the relationship between Indonesia and the Philippines "which contributes to the rules-based order and in maintaining regional peace and stability."
