BAGUIO CITY — Authorities reported that two employees of the Department of Agriculture Cordillera died while being treated in a hospital while another one was injured following a collision involving the agency's vehicle and a speeding car along the national highway in Barangay Bugallon Proper, Ramon in Isabela.
The victims — identified as Karen Brioness and Addison Kyle La-ao — died while being treated at the Southern Isabela Medical Center Santiago City while the driver of the closed van, identified as Tommy Timoteo, was injured.
Initial reports disclosed that the closed-wing van of the DA was traversing the road carrying sacks of rice and was headed towards the South. When the vehicle was near a gasoline station in Barangay Bugallon Proper, a speeding car suddenly hit the van.
Because of the impact, the van's driver lost control and collided to an approaching trailer truck.
