Christ the King
Aren’t we guilty of reaping the results of not serving Christ as King?
Christ has always been known as the King because, as Paul tells us, "at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth."
If Jesus Christ is truly the King of our lives, then we should be following Him, His ways, His examples, and His teachings. Aren't we guilty of reaping the results of not serving Christ as King? Let's take a look at some highlights and a few of the reasons why we need to follow and serve Christ as King, especially now that we are at an age when people don't want to have "kings or other rulers" over them.
We can see that almost every day, the Metropolitan Manila police force would arrest criminals especially the "Most Wanted" criminals who allegedly went into hiding. And we would like to commend Police Brig. Gen. Jonnel C. Estomo, the regional director of the National Capital Region Police Office, for the untiring efforts of policemen, particularly from the Regional Intelligence Division led by Lt. Col. Jerry M. Alvarez. Under the direct supervision of Colonel Romano V. Cardiño, chief of the RID-NCRPO, several persons with standing warrants were arrested through the S.A.F.E. or "Seen, Appreciated, and Felt by the people through Extraordinary actions" program.
Just recently, the RID team together with the District Intelligence Division of the Northern Police District coordinated with the 2nd MC, RMFB9, Pagadian Airport Police, and Pagadian City Police Station that resulted in the successful arrest of the Top 5 Most Wanted Persons (Regional Level). This series of police operations stemmed from Brig. Gen. Estomo's order to resolve all pending murder cases, and to conduct massive manhunt operations against all wanted persons with pending arrest warrants for murder.
On 12 November, NCRPO police served a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan, of the 9th Judicial Region Branch 69, Taguig City on 14 February 2022, to a certain Junipher Amacanin Quiño, 37, while he was waiting for a ride at the Pagadian City Airport, Barangay Muricay, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. Quiño, who is wanted for an unbailable murder case, has gone hiding for almost five years.
Another intelligence-driven operation conducted on 6 November by Caloocan City policemen and IDMS-North arrested another murder suspect identified as Mark de Paz alias Egoy at his residence at Blk. 12, Lot 18, Brilliant Stone Ville, Barangay 171, Caloocan City. He is wanted for three counts of frustrated murder and violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and. Ammunition Regulation Act.
