Five persons were killed in a fire reportedly caused by exploding firecrackers in Laguna Friday morning.
According to Camp Crame, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. at the victims' home at GK Village, Sitio Majada, Brgy. Canlubang, Calamba City.
Investigators identified the victims as Leticia Yutan Corral, 83, widow; James Darwin Corral Delluson, 22 , married; Ryan James Guttierez, 18; Kenneth Buebo, 24; and a still unidentified person. The victims were found lifeless in different parts of the house.
Reports said the fire started when a explosion took place around 11:20 am. It went on until 12:03 p.m. before being placed under control by responding firefighters.
