Operatives from the Manila Police District netted a 28-year-old seafarer following complaints of molestation filed by a minor which was offered to the suspect.
The suspect — whose identity was withheld — was nabbed in an entrapment operation in Sampaloc, Manila.
Reports disclosed that the victim — identified as alias "Girlie" — filed a complaint at the MPD-PS4 against the suspect after the seafarer tried to get the services of the girl for the second time.
The two were introduced by a common friend, who offered the girl to the suspect in exchange for money.
Investigations showed that the suspect allegedly paid through an electronic wallet system P2,500 the first time the girl was offered by their "common friend," but after the transaction, the girl was allegedly paid only P1,500 for her "services."
The suspect again contacted the victim for another transaction using Facebook and again asked her for another date for a payment of P2,500, which was the subject of the entrapment operation.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Sec.11 of R.A. 9208 (Use of Trafficked Person) Qualified Trafficking in Person,at the Manila Prosecutors Office.
