Two men, so-called "jumper boys" accused of stealing items from passing trucks were arrested by members of the Manila Police District special mayor's reaction team along Mel Lopez or R10 Boulevard late Thursday.
P/Maj. Edward Samonte, head of MPD-SMaRT, identified the suspects as Jefferson Tumbaga,19; and Jimboy Cocolio,30, both residents of Tondo, Manila.
Confiscated from two suspects were one homemade shotgun or "sumpak and a caliber .38 revolver.
The operation stemmed from numerous complaints reaching the office of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna about the rampant activities of the "jumpers" who have been terrorizing motorists.
