CAAP lauds provincial airports’ efforts

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo commended CAAP-operated provincial airports for their initiative in providing aid and comfort to passengers during the onslaught of Tropical Storm "Paeng" and in the observance of Undas 2022.
Captain Tamayo said that aside from supplying stranded passengers with snacks and drinks during the onslaught, several airports, such as those in Tuguegarao, Romblon, Virac, Masbate, Camiguin, Laguindingan, Dipolog, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Davao, and Zamboanga, also conducted the usual distribution of "Malasakit Kits" for passengers traveling during the Undas observance.
He also shared that despite the limitations brought by limited funding, they laud the efforts of the CAAP staff from their provincial airports because, through these small tokens, they were able to provide a sense of warmth and comfort to their passengers, something that they value in their mission to cater to passengers.
The Malasakit kits contain snacks, drinks, as well as sanitary items that have become handy since the pandemic.
CAAP regularly provides kits during special holidays and most especially during flight disruptions to ensure passenger convenience.
